About the Mission
This fundraiser is for a writer of Haitang (a platform for web novels based in Taiwan), who has recently come forward to share her experiences, hoping to raise enough funds to pay off an exorbitant amount of fines to avoid being jailed - all over writing queer web novels.The government is doing underhanded tactics to equate all queer writing as pornography.We are trying to raise $58,000 CAD, and are at 20k currently, to save a disabled author who cannot survive incarceration from this injustice.
